Muneerah Yate
Based in London and Norwich. As a British-Muslim artist, I’m intrinsically inspired by my dual English and Iranian heritage. I continue to paint and sell Arabic and Farsi calligraphy, which I’ve done for over ten years now. However, my visual art practice is socially engaged and multidisciplinary. My work is heavily driven by a relentless fascination with the effects of societal and cultural norms on the human experience, with a specific focus on using art to facilitate human connection and better communication. I’m passionate about combining my creativity with a desire to help facilitate education, self-discovery and empowerment.
